Career & Prior Experience

Joann brings over a decade of facilitation experience, guiding groups through processes that foster growth, accountability, and connection. She has worked in education for more than five years across K–12, higher education, and district settings, and her background also includes small business leadership in marine conservation, music therapy, and restorative justice in both educational and criminal justice contexts.

Hobbies & Interests

Outside of her professional work, Joann finds joy in all types of art. You can find her dancing anywhere music is playing, usually doing some type of interpretive, ecstatic, country swing, west coast swing, or line dancing. She enjoys reading, making music on guitar, ukulele, and percussion, and spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and backpacking. She also leads a women’s group focused on friendship, sisterhood, and holistic growth.
