Ana Navarro
Ana Navarro (she/her/hers) and NCRC first crossed paths through a Faculty Mediation Program. The program was sponsored by the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Vice-Chancellor’s office at UC San Diego, where Ana was a professor of Family Medicine and Public Health. As a faculty member there, she focused on advancing health equity by bringing together community-centered approaches, educational programs, and research initiatives. Her pioneering community health advisory work in the San Diego community started three decades ago and has been widely disseminated. The program also served as a foundation for multiple projects engaging diverse communities as partners.
Ana is now Professor Emerita at UC San Diego, and co-leads workshops and mediation with the NCRC team. She is thrilled to continue to work together
