Since 2007, Gina Stein has practiced exclusively in the area of probate and trust litigation, including the representation of clients in will and trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty and surcharge litigation, contested conservatorships, financial elder abuse claims, and probate-related appeals.
RATES:
$450 per hour, $300 non-refundable administrative fee per party
LEGAL CAREER & PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
After passing the bar, Gina started working with the estates and trusts department of Wingert Grebing Brubaker and Goodwin in 2007. In 2011, the probate group from Wingert Grebing started the probate firm of Goodwin Brown Gross & Lovelace, LLP—where she remained. She was proud to be named as a partner of the Goodwin Brown Firm in 2014. Since the start of her career, she has focused exclusively in the area of probate and trust litigation and has represented hundreds of clients in will and trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty and surcharge litigation, contested conservatorships, financial elder abuse claims, and probate-related appeals. She also serves as a settlement judge pro tem with the San Diego Superior Court, Probate Division, and as court-appointed guardian and counsel in probate matters.

- December 2006: Juris Doctorate Degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida
- June 2002: Bachelor of Science in Journalism, cum laud, with a minor in Spanish from the University of Florida

- Board Member of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego
ADR EXPERIENCE & SPECIALTIES:
Since 2014, Gina has served as a settlement judge pro tem with the San Diego County Superior Court, Probate Division, where she handles Mandatory Settlement Conferences and assist attorneys and parties in resolving their contested probate and trust matters. Gina completed her mediation training with the National Conflict Resolution Center.

Gina has presented as a speaker for the San Diego County Bar and the Probate Attorneys of San Diego on the topics of evidentiary issues in probate, privilege and privacy issues arising in probate litigation.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS:
In her spare time, Gina enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her husband and two active sons
