Mike Algeo

Michael Algeo is a conflict coach with community mediation where he meets with those who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, conducts classes with the use of an approved training curriculum, assists with case coordination, and small claims mediations including guardianships and conservatorships. For 4 years, Michael has encouraged individuals to seek a positive resolution and see conflict as an opportunity to see things from another perspective.

Michael continues to be an outlet for homeless individuals to be able to share and have an opportunity to be heard, also working with a variety of apartment complexes with respect to neighbor and roommate facilitations where residents who are low income and conducts mediations with a 98% success rate.

Michael is enthusiastic about the role of faith-based cooperation in establishment of in being of service to others. Michael also believes in encouraging relations between NCRC and other agencies and continues to foster positive relations with PATH, Alpha Project, Veterans Village of San Diego, and Father Joes. As a former service member and instructor while in the military. Michael is faithful to support outside organizations to support homelessness and is open about his own story of homelessness to encourage others that the past doesn’t define you but rather who you are moving forward.
