Megan Soares
Megan studied International Security and Conflict Resolution at San Diego State University, with a focus on Conflict, Cooperation, and Conflict Resolution. While earning her degree she worked in open-source intelligence for a U.S.-based intelligence & security agency, as well as in communications for a San Diego-based refugee non-profit. Through her non-profit experience, Megan developed a passion for helping underserved populations, specifically refugees here in San Diego.
Megan now works full-time on NCRC staff as a Project Coordinator for the Training Institute. She finds purpose and fulfillment in working for an organization that lives out her values of communication, conflict resolution, empowerment of others, and making a difference. One of Megan’s favorite parts of her role at NCRC is being able to interact with a wide variety of people, whether it be staff, clients, other trainers, or trainees. Megan is especially passionate about our trainings with refugee clients and often trains within those realms.
