    NCRC to Help San Diegans in Rent Disputes The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) has granted the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) funding to mediate all commercial and residential rent payment disputes related to eviction moratoriums in San Diego County. This announcement comes as San Diego extended rules halting residential and commercial evictions due to COVID-19 financial hardship through the end of September, and as the county’s unemployment rate sits at 15 percent—further compounding the region’s pre-existing housing affordability crisis. As a response to these difficult times, the nonprofit organization will be offering mediators from their West Coast Resolution Group to resolve complex commercial cases at a reduced rate, and community mediators to assist with residential renter-landlord disputes at no cost.
