Barlin Osman

Barlin Osman is a part-time trainer at NCRC and a full-time VISTA Member at the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) supporting capacity-building projects and resource development initiatives for the organization. Her strengths include critical and strategic thinking, linguistics, and relationship management.

She has a unique background as a Somali refugee, born in a refugee camp in Kenya and raised in a lower socioeconomic environment in Rochester, NY. Her passion for development is fueled by her experiences in marginalized social positions. When that passion is combined with other professional and personal attributes, Barlin can enhance the social impact of her work and promote a more diverse and inclusive community by understanding the needs of a wide variety of populations.
