UC San Diego’s 4th Global Empowerment Summit inspires first San Diego Kindness Day

University of California San Diego is hosting its 4th Annual Global Empowerment Summit on October 19 at the Beyster Auditorium, Rady School of Management, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event, presented by UC San Diego Social Impact & Innovation and UC San Diego Extension, is free and open to the public. Among the panelists and speakers: Steven Dinkin, president of the National Conflict Resolution Center; Imam Taha Hassane, director, Islamic Center of San Diego; San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan; Jeff Light, publisher, editor-in-chief, San Diego Union-Tribune; and Emanuel Perlman, CEO and founder, Destination Peace International; Nicole Phillips, author and host of NPR’s The Kindness Podcast.
