Steven Dinkin

Steven P. Dinkin has served as President of the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) since 2003. At NCRC he has secured several federal contracts with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of the Navy, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He has also expanded the organization’s dispute resolution programming outside the United States to Europe, Asia and Latin America. Before arriving at NCRC, Steve was Program Director at the Center for Dispute Settlement (CDS) in Washington, D.C..

David Jay

David Jay joined the National Conflict Resolution Center at the start of 2021. For more than 15 years, David has worked with individual, foundation and corporate donors to improve their communities through their philanthropy. As Director of Fund Development, David oversees efforts to secure the financial resources needed to invest in supporting the communities who rely on NCRC, to build new programs, and to sustain NCRC into the future.

Lisa Maxwell

Lisa Maxwell has been a mediator since 1985 and is the Director of the Training Institute at the National Conflict Resolution Center. She has extensive experience mediating and resolving workplace disputes, interpersonal disputes, and complex issues. She has designed and implemented communication, conflict resolution and diversity trainings in Spanish and English locally and internationally for companies, universities and government agencies.Lisa developed and is the lead trainer in The Exchange Training.

Marc Meyer

Marc A. Meyer is the Director of Operations at the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC). He began volunteering with NCRC in 2006 and was hired as a full-time staff member in 2009. Marc has played a pivotal role in the growth of NCRC’s training initiatives; being the primary driver of creating systems to manage the exponential growth. Marc currently focuses most of his time managing the various training projects for NCRC’s Training Institute and supporting NCRC projects organization wide. Marc also directs the day to day operations at all NCRC’s offices.In recent years, Ashley has launched a major PR campaign, with the ultimate goal of positioning NCRC as a “thought-leader” nationally. Since then, NCRC has appeared on hundreds of local, regional and national media outlets and developed a robust social media campaign across multiple platforms. As often as you find Ashley working behind the camera on strategy, you will also find her in front of the camera most-days, representing NCRC in the news and on-line. She has been featured in media outlets such as Forbes, The Washington Post, C-Span, NPR, PopSugar, and many others.

Veronica Montenegro

Veronica Mikho has been with the National Conflict Resolution Center since 2005. She is a proud Mexicana who was born and raised in the Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, California regions. Veronica is a certified bilingual mediator who has extensive experience mediating a variety of disputes. She is also a trainer and coach for NCRC’s Training institute and specializes in various NCRC workshops. She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University. Veronica enjoys working with the community and families.

Daniel Orth is the Associate Director of NCRC’s Training Institute, having previously served as the organization’s senior project manager. For more than 18 years as a conflict resolution practitioner, facilitator, and trainer, Daniel has supported individuals, organizations, government agencies, businesses, and communities seeking to resolve conflict. He has done this by working with diverse stakeholders to analyze conflict dynamics, leading strategic planning processes, facilitating difficult conversations, equipping individuals with skills and knowledge through training opportunities, and building critical connections through network formation and management.

Kathryn Shade

Kathryn has been with the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) since May of 2017. In her current position, Kathryn manages HR, staff training and serves as the board liaison. Previously, as the Senior Program Manager of NCRC’s Center for Community Cohesion (CCC), Kathryn was instrumental in the work of community engagement through collaborations with local agencies, organizations and residents to promote a culture of inclusivity, community empowerment and cohesion. Dedicated to community advocacy, she worked previously for the Alliance for African Assistance, a refugee resettlement agency, as Interim Program Manager and employment Case Manager. Prior to that she spent five years as the Finance & Administration Manager for the Coalition of Neighborhood Councils, an umbrella organization for San Diego’s 4th District neighborhood councils.
